" The driver said, "Oh, I did. And we had such a good time we're heading to the beach this weekend." Pretty corny, the? Ok let's take a look at what came up on Google when I typed in "Raising Show Goats." The first one I got is "Ten Tips for Showing Goats," by Cheryl Smith.

For example, she says, "PRACTICE WALKING WITH YOUR GOAT BEFORE the SHOW." Duh! That's like saying, before you brush your teeth, put toothpaste on your brush. or, it's like saying, before you drive away, turn the ignition key to start the engine.

Hey - of course I rehearse walking my goats before I show them. They are always well trained and cooperative because I have learned how to work with them.

Here's another from Ms. Smith: "THOROUGHLY CLEAN and GROOM YOUR GOAT BEFORE the SHOW." Are you kidding me? This is advice to a person who raises show goats? Hey, might as well tell me before...

That's like advising me to open a book before reading it. Seriously - "CLEAN and GROOM YOUR GOAT BEFORE the SHOW?" Is Ms. Smith giving advice to a door knob? That is the classic no-brainer.
Here's one more -- ready for this one? "DRESS APPROPRIATELY." Seriously? I thought I would wear my grandma's wedding dress and a Green Bay Packers Cheesehead.

I forgot to mention the website Ms. Smith's ten tips was found on. "Raising Goats for Dummies." Actually, it should have been "Raising Goats by a Dummy." In any event, please vote for me for FFA Area 4 Officer! I can make this a great FFA experience. Thank you!
